Our love for maple syrup and making it is the marriage of many factors
Producing great tasting Pure Maple Syrup is a year round undertaking, with many work intensive steps that can always be improved on. We love the product and the process
Giving purpose to a lot of time outside in the woods, often working together as a family
Creating connections with great friends, customers and industry folks. We continuously find that people interested in maple for whatever reason are pretty nice to be around
The intensity and mental/physical endurance required to really “do it right” leading up to and during the season
We made maple syrup on a small scale for a number of years, and in 2019 began our expansion plans in a big way. We tapped 125 trees in 2019 and in 2021 we boiled sap from 4300 taps on some very shiny super efficient machines, in a big new sugar house. It has been incredibly exciting (and tiring, and scary at times!). The feedback and interest in our syrup and our growing base of friends and customers, as well as the experience itself has made this journey super rewarding.
